Artappel is a co-operative prop house started by a group of commercial   art-directors and props people, who work as Artichoke. Although we do everything and anything one may need, we have tried to put together an eclectic mix of luxurious contemporary stuff – but with balls. A world where a regency chair easily pairs with the fine lines of modernism, in a gritty concrete yard, while a child rides by on an elegant retro trike – luxury, style grit and FUN.

We are constantly buying, changing and updating our stock to meet the needs of our selves and our clients. Basically Artappel is here to make our lives easier and to enrich our lives. Please be aware that this website is by no means our complete catalogue, and it is not meant to be a substitute for a visit; those chance encounters and surrealist crashes are where the best stuff happens.

The small print

  • The hire price covers your hire of the prop for up to 7 days.
  • Collection and delivery is for you to organise. Please note that you must have your own labour to load and off-load your vehicles.
  • All props will be assessed on return and an invoice will only then be issued if no damage or loss.
  • In case of damage or loss, invoice will be separate to hire invoice.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • You are responsible for the loading and offloading your own trucks. i.e. props and manpower
  • Any item returned damaged, must be taken back for repairs or replaced (with a similar item of similar value) or paid for in full value.
  • No credit card facilities are available
  • All items are to be returned in the same wrapped manner and condition they were collected
  • Contact us in advance regarding any website items as well as any floor items. So as to make sure you are aware of the current condition, functionality and availability.
  • Please make sure you come in a see the current condition of an item before hand as the item will be charged for regardless of use.
  • Any changes to props need to be authorized by Props Manager or Props Assistant from Artappel in advance.
  • Hire of props are charged on a weekly basis
  • Late returns will result in a second week hire fee
  • Production will be held accountable for any damages incurred by drivers/team leaders/assistants

The facts

It is a surprise for many to discover that one medium artappel with the skin contains 45 percent of the daily value for vitamin C; as much or more potassium than either bananas, spinach, or broccoli – 10 percent of the daily value of B6 – and trace amounts of thiamin, riboflavin, folate, magnesium, phosphorous, iron and zinc – all for only 110 calories AND NO FAT! GOODNESS UNEARTHED. AND THAT IS OUR CREDO: a magical mix of eclectic essentials with trace amounts of necessary trite and no fat added.
